Porthmawr Country House Wedding Photography on a rainy Summers day. My next real wedding on the blog is Kate and Matthew’s outdoor wedding at Porthmawr Country House, a family run wedding venue in the heart of Crickhowell.
Porthmawr Country House
I left the girls on the wedding morning to head to Porthmawr Country House ready to capture them arriving for the ceremony. On the drive over I honestly thought, there is no way this wedding ceremony is happening outside. My windscreen was covered in raindrops and I just didn’t know how this day was going to unfold. Although I take everything in my stride, I want my couples to have the day they’ve planned for. I am so glad it was different to my first thoughts. Kate is so determined to have what she wanted. The venue provided umbrellas for guests if needed and Kate and Matthew got the outdoor ceremony they dreamed of. It really was a perfect ceremony and the rain held off.

Throughout the day it rained in parts, but you would never tell. Guests got to enjoy lawn games, they used the umbrellas and embraced our typical Welsh weather. We did get to do all the formal photographs outside (yippee!!) During their couples portraits, it started to rain and because we weren’t sure exactly what the weather was doing (for all we knew it could rain the rest of the day, it really was stop start). This didn’t phase this amazing couple. They believed me when I said we have to do a few more, they trusted me and they went for it. I'm so happy to have been part of this incredible wedding day with so many other incredible suppliers. Massive shout out to Beth from Porthmawr Country House for looking after me all day, NGJ make-up & Hair for a relaxing morning and those flowers by Wild Meadow Floral, total swoon, right?
